You will find an indication of your watch's water resistance on the watch dial or on the case back. You should see one of the following designations: 200M or 20 BAR, 100M or 10 BAR, 50M or 5 BAR, or you may see nothing at all. It is important that you follow the recommendations in the chart below for your watch and take note of the following precautionary tips:
- Do not operate the crown when wet
- If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it in fresh water and then wipe it thoroughly dry
- Caution: Leather straps are not water resistant except where indicated, even if the watch head is water resistant
